THE BOOK

Good To Great Grandparenting book by Neil Taft - Expert tips and activities for grandparents and grandchildren

 FROM THE AUTHOR

This Grandparenting book offers Tips and Activities for Grandparents and Grandkids and discusses the benefits of Grandparenting. At the same time, it doesn’t sidestep the challenges of Grandparenting in the 21st Century. Some of those challenges involve long-distance Grandparenting, raising Grandchildren, and even Grandparents adapting to new technology.

All of this will not only help you be a Good Grandparent but will enable you to become a Great Grandparent.

This book’s starting point is that “Life is complicated, Family life is multiple of complicated, and extended Family life is exponentially complicated.” This was the idea behind my second book, “Your Grandparent Rights.” Since these are very scarce, I offer you stories, techniques, and ideas to weather the family storms that may arise when it comes to staying connected to your Grandchildren.

Common Grandparenting Questions

Here are answers to questions grandparents ask us most often.

Build meaningful connections through storytelling, respecting parents' boundaries, regular communication, and creating special traditions. Focus on quality time over quantity, and adapt to modern communication methods like video calls for long-distance relationships.

Modern grandparents navigate long-distance relationships, adapting to new parenting styles, technology gaps, and sometimes raising grandchildren full-time. Success comes from respecting parents' rules while offering wisdom and support.

Honor their parenting choices, ask before offering advice, follow house rules consistently, and offer specific help rather than vague support. The key is building bridges through respect rather than criticism.

Great grandparents balance wisdom with respect, create lasting memories through storytelling, adapt to family evolution, and prioritize relationships over being right. They leave legacies of love, not conflict.
